My Personal 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country XJ

The photos below are from 2013–2017 and 2021–2022, all captured in Armenia, including Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh),  with a few in the Caucasus mountains of Georgia and Russia.

Over the years, I have photographed hundreds of cars for clients and showcased many of them here on my website. But I wanted to dedicate a separate section to my very first personal car, this old Jeep Cherokee. I used to own it in Armenia, and it was my trusted travel buddy during my tourism and adventure guiding days. As a travel lover, I took this Jeep on countless trips across Armenia, and many of the pictures here are from those journeys.

The car went through many transformations, from a stock version to lifted setups with custom bumpers and off-road upgrades. Interestingly, it never had major engine or transmission modifications — most of the changes were focused on suspension, lifting, and exterior details.

Please note, these photos are not strictly from a professional photography perspective (unlike my client projects). Some were even taken with a mobile phone. I share them here as a memory of how much fun and reliable this Jeep was, both on and off the road!

By the way, my current personal car in the US is also an SUV, and also red — but not a Jeep! It’s a lighter Kia Sportage. I may even create another sub-section about it in the future.
